CCIE (Cisco Certified Inter-network Engineer)

CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer) is the core and world recognized certification on the Cisco certification ladder.

Only 15,000 CCIE’s exists around the world, who holds CCIE certification reason - the CCIE certification is not a piece of cake in-fact its quite challenging, and requires a high commitment in both time and money to attain this trophy. Just 3% of all Cisco certification holders try for this extensive CCIE certification.

Total 5 different tracks of CCIE exist, following are some tracks given:

CCIE: Routing and Switching
CCIE: Security
CCIE: Service Provider
CCIE: Storage Networking
CCIE: Voice

CCIE certification basically requires two exams to pass - one is written exam which must be passed first, and other is based on lab exam. Incase a candidate fails in the written exam he/she must wait at least 5 days before retaking the exam. Once the written exam has been passed then candidate can booked the lab exam.
